ETIV do Brasil does Giving Tuesday!

Thanksgiving in Itacaré, Bahia, Brazil (Volunteering in Brazil)

This Giving Tuesday, check out 3 different ways that you can support our work in Itacaré!

With Thanksgiving upon us, we at ETIV do Brasil want to express our deep gratitude to all of you that have supported our NGO and our local community projects. After an amazing year of continued growth and transformation, we are also celebrating our third-year anniversary!

Here are 3 different ways that you can further support our work and make a significant difference for us this #GivingTuesday!

Thanks to the support and dedication of our volunteers, interns and supporters, our NGO and our projects are thriving!

1. Support our November Giving Campaign - Either by donating, and/or by asking your friends and family to donate. This can be done via PayPal here. (No donation is too small and even $10 goes a long way here in Brazil!)

2. Leave us a positive review – On Facebook, Google or on one of our recruitment sites if you volunteered or interned with us in the past. This will enable new volunteers and interns find us and show them what an amazing time they can expect. (Why not write one review, and copy and paste it over different sites?)

3. Follow us on social media - Find us on Facebook here, Twitter here and Instagram here. Also, please invite your social media contact list to ‘Like’ and ‘follow’ us too.

With greater social media followings, more volunteers and interns will be able to find out about our projects and work, as well as potential future local and international partners. Below is the list of our current projects that all of your efforts will be supporting:

  • English Classes (Levels 1, 2 & 3);

  • 4 LitClubs (literacy and empowerment for girls in 4 different neighborhoods in and around Itacaré in partnership with LitWorld, HerStory and Global Glow);

  • Swimming Lessons (that also includes drowning prevention and water stewardship in partnership with SwimTayka);

  • Environmental Education, Conservation and Mangrove Restoration work (we even planted over 1,400 white mangrove tree seedlings this year!)

  • Community Organizing and Local Partnership development (we have been doing a great deal of work in partnership with Recicla Itacaré and Casa do Conto)

Meanwhile, we have already begun working in partnership with Simone, a musician and local community leader, and the Instituto Federal Baiano to build a new women’s empowerment project in Itacaré and we are beginning new music classes for children and youth in 2019!

Whatever you can do will make a big difference and will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you again and Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at ETIV!
